Thomas William Johnson Sr. 51, of Arlington Texas lost his battle with long debilitating Illness’ on October 7, 2013. He was born in Warren Pennsylvania on July the 16th, 1962 to Timothy L. Johnson Sr. & Barbara Ann Sharp Johnson Land. Tom was preceded in death by His Dad in 1977 Union City PA, all his Grandparents Norman William Johnson of Warren (Elizabeth Lorraine Knox “Betty” of Winter Park, FL) & William Woodard (“Bill”) Sharp (Florence Evelyn Hennessy) of Warren. His Step-Sister Bonnie Marie Land of Painesville/Mentor OH, as well his beloved Doggie “Jake,” all of whom he is with now. He is survived by his Mom & Stepfather (“Dad”) Barry James Land; both of Jonesborough, TN; his wife of 28 years Rebecca Grieb Johnson; 5- Children; Christina Jayne Grieb; Amanda Lynn Johnson; Thomas William Johnson Jr. (“T.J;”) Danielle Elizabeth Johnson; & Michael James Timothy Johnson - all of Arlington. Thomas also has four wonderful Grandchildren Hunter James Broadley, Mason Dillon Broadley, Samantha Reese Paz, & Addison Rose Davis - all of Arlington. Tom’s siblings also survive him; Sheryl Sharp Sudul (Kevin) of Russell, PA; Tim Jr. of Fort Smith AR; Tambria Lea Johnson Klus “Tammy” (Robert “Bob”) of Union City PA; & Theodore Steven Johnson “Ted” (Beth) of Pensacola, FL. Stepbrothers Brad Land (Sherry) of Cookeville, TN & Bryan Land (Denise) of Mentor, OH as well as numerous Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends & Et Cetera... Tom Graduated from Eisenhower High School, Russell, PA in 1980. He then Joined the U.S. Navy serving proudly @ San Diego NAS Miramar & @ North Island CA for 4 years until 1984. There he learned the nuts & bolts of Flight Simulation. He did that work for many years with (GM) Hughes. He also worked the GM EV-1 Electric Car Program @ Torrance, CA. His final working days were with Project Management; Link Simulation L-3, there in Arlington, TX. He was an extraordinary journeyman Computer, Electronics & Electrical/Hydraulics Technician & Supervisor. Tommy was an aviation enthusiast from a very young age & first flew single props at the age of 14. Also he enjoyed building & flying Model Planes. He was an avid Motorcycle owner & enthusiast, as well. He was an instrumental part of leading his youngest Brother Ted in becoming a Top Gun Qualified US Marines F-18 Fighter Pilot, in his formative first experiences therein. He was an awesome story & joke teller, as well as an incredible humorist. He touched more lives than we can ever know with a smile, a joke, or just a shoulder to lean on. He instilled a beautiful spirit within everybody who crossed his path. We all miss him DEARLY !!! Thank you Tom & Thanks to Y’all... ... ... ∞
